Yield on 30-Year Gilts Seen Rising Above 6% by Year End
The yield on 30-year UK bonds will climb above 6% by the end of the year as investor confidence over the government's ability to improve the country's precarious fiscal position falters, according to Franklin Templeton. \\"If the yields get too high, eventually they will have to do something much more substantial, which will include spending cuts,\\" David Zahn, head of European fixed income at Franklin Templeton, told Bloomberg Television.
